When travelling in a van around Australia, I use the camp-finding App ‘WikiCamps’ to find free camp sites, attractions, water points and showers. This app is updated by users, active travellers will highlight all the various showers in towns, cities, rest stops and beaches.
Some of the places I shower include:
– Fuel stations (Sometimes have paid showers and they’re usually clean and warm).
– Beaches (They often have outdoor showers).
– Paid campsites (Can be used to break up the nights of free camping with a shower).
– Public toilets (Local councils often put a free cold shower shower in the public toilets).
– Shower in a bag (Can be used as a last resort if you can’t find any public shower).
